Youth Cong members stage unique protest by planting paddy saplings on roads near K'taka Minister's residence

Hubballi, Aug 26 (UNI) Karnataka Youth Congress members on Wednesday planted paddy saplings on slushy roads and potholes near the residence of the state Large & Medium Scale Industries and District In-charge Minister Jagadish Shettar in Hubballi district on Wednesday, demanding repairs of damaged roads in the city at the earliest.
The protesters alleged that Mr Shettar gave false assurances and even he failed to improve basic facilities in his own constituency.
Mr Shettar speaks about huge grants just for publicity, and but he does not work to solve problems being faced by the citizens here. Roads in the city have many potholes, posing threat for the locals. Shettar should open his eyes, and should resolve the problem," said Hubballi-Dharwad City District Congress Committee president Altaf Halwoor.
