K'taka Home minister gives free hand to police to investigate drug mafia in state

Bengaluru, Aug 31 (UNI) Karnataka Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Monday said that government has taken up serious note on drug mafia in state and has given free hand to the police to investigate such cases.
Speaking to newsmen here after meeting top police officials here, he said whoever involved in such practices including film industry personalities will be punished under the law. The meeting discussed various issues regarding the increasing drug cases in the state.
The minister said that so far only ganja peddlers were arrested, now a serious action will be initiated against interstate and international drug dealers. ACB has already arrested people involved in synthetic drug dealing.
