Safety Audit to be held in all industrial units in Telangana

Hyderabad, Aug 26 (UNI) To ensure that industries were run duly adhering to safety protocols, to avoid in any untoward incidents, an Industrial safety audit was being conducted in all units that were categorised as red and orange in the state of Telangana, as instructed IT and Industry Minister K T Rama Rao.
General Manager, District Industries Centre has been made the nodal officer to coordinate the inspections with line departments of Boilers, Labour, Factories and Telangana Pollution Control Board, an official statement here said on Wednesday.
As on date, 2420 units were inspected out of 5940 hazardous or red or orange category units. Deviations were found in 75 units and notices were served by the respective Boilers / PCB departments.
