The total lockdown is in Puducherry and Karaikal regions today and for Mahe and Yanam regions it will be on Sundays as implemented by Kerala and Andhra Pradesh states respectively.

Police are on roads for security duty and are checking those coming out and the vehicles of those plying without permission are being seized and fine was imposed.
Police are not allowing people from Tamil Nadu into Puducherry in border areas of Kanniyakoil, Gorimedu, Madagadippattu and kanagachettikkulam.
