End corruption in transfers in Irrigation, PWD departmens: Joint Council

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 6 (UNI) The Joint Council, a service organisation affiliated with the ruling CPI in Kerala, has demanded an end to corruption in the transfer of employees in the Public Works Department (PWD) and the Irrigation Department, calling for transfers to be made transparent and in accordance with government-prescribed norms.
Joint Council Chairman S. Sajeev pointed out that while transfers in departments such as Revenue and Agriculture are carried out entirely through transparent online processes adhering to government guidelines, the failure to implement online transfers in the PWD and Irrigation Department constitutes a violation of government policy.
He urged the immediate introduction of online transfers in these departments — where employees are currently being transferred arbitrarily — so as to set a model example.
