Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 28 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the function for handing over of first set of 355 sanctions under the 'Chief Ministers Entrepreneurship Development Programme in a virtual event organised by Kerala Financial Corporation on Monday.
Inaugurating the event, the Chief Minister handed over the first cheque of Rs 75,000 to Isha Kishore, a transgender from Kasaragode district, to set up a beauty parlour cum stitching unit.
"The event was planned to issue sanction letters to 100 applicants in the first batch. This number has increased to 355 considering the surge in applications. The approach of KFC towards this programme is really praiseworthy. The terms were simplified and the procedures were standardised; even the interviews and meetings were conducted over video conference to expedite the sanction procedure”, said the Chief Minister.
