Kalaburagi, July 14 (UNI) In the wake of a steep surge in Covid-19 cases in Kalaburagi, the district administration has decided to go in for a weeklong lockdown in the District from July 14 to July 20.
Taking note of the alarming rise of COVID-19 cases and deaths in the District, Deputy Commissioner B Sharat had imposed a week-long lockdown in urban areas, including Kalaburagi City, in the district.
In an order issued here on Monday night under the Disaster Management Act 2005 and Section 133 of Criminal Procedure Code 1973, Mr Sharat, who is also the Chairman of District Disaster Management Authority, declared lockdown from July 14 midnight to July 20.
