13,245 bores laid in AP at a cost of Rs 4.5 Lakh each

Vijayawada, May 2 (UNI) The officials informed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy that they had laid 13,245 bores so far at a cost of Rs 4.5 lakh for each.
The Chief Minister said the state government should provide bores, motors and pipes to eligible farmers under YSR Jala Kala scheme and added to select quality motors for the scheme. He said there should be one rig in every constituency.
The Chief Minister held a review meeting on progress of works in Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department and directed the officials to interlink ponds through canals and said water shortage can be prevented if every pond can be linked to canals and feeder channels in the next five years
