People in AP can burst crackers for only two hours only on Diwali

Vijayawada, Nov 11 (UNI) The government of Andhra Pradesh has given two hours permission for bursting firecrackers on Diwali festival day on November 14.
A Government Order (GO) has been issued in this regard by the State Health Medical and Family Welfare Department which was signed by Chief Secretary Nilam Sawhney.
An official release here on Wednesday said that firecrackers could be burst only between 8 PM and 10 PM on Diwali day. This decision was taken in view of the rising levels of pollution, while following the guidelines, issued by the National Green Tribunal (NGT) to reduce air pollution.
