Govt will move Supreme Court on distribution of title deeds: AP CM

Govt will move Supreme Court on distribution of title deeds: AP CM

Kadapa, Dec 25 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy made it clear that the State Government would move to the Supreme Court seeking to lift ‘stay order’ for the distribution of house site pattas at certain locations to the eligible houseless poor.
The Chief Minister celebrated Christmas by offering prayers at the CSI Church in Pulivendula here on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Reddy said the Christmas and Vaikunta Ekadasi were being celebrated today and the Government was distributing house site pattas and organising ground breaking ceremony for the construction of houses.
The Chief Minister said "it's unfortunate that someone moved to the Court seeking ‘Stay’ on the distribution of title-deed for house sites in Pulivendula, claiming that the land belongs to the APIIC and got the stay order. The house title deeds distribution event is not happening in Pulivendula today".
Mr Reddy asserted that even the APIIC land also belongs to the government and it would be beneficial to Industries, if houses were constructed for the poor in those lands.
He announced that the government would move to the Supreme Court for lifting of stay order on distribution of house site pattas and ensure every poor family gets a house.
