Hyderabad, June 25 (UNI) Three people were killed and 21 others injured in two separate road accidents in Telangana on Tuesday.
In the first incident, two people were killed and the driver was seriously injured when a DCM vehicle they were travelling in collided with a stationary mini petrol tanker on Outer Ring Road (ORR) at Muthangi Junction.
The deceased were identified as labourers. The deceased and the driver were trapped in the DCM vehicle cabin. After a long struggle, the bodies and the driver were retrieved by the police.
The injured driver was admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway, police said.
In the second incident, one person was killed and 20 others injured, two of them seriously, when a private travel bus they were travelling in collided with a lorry on National Highway No. 44, near Kyasampally, Kamareddy Mandal, and the district.
The accident occurred while the bus was proceeding to Hyderabad from Adilabad, police said. The injured were admitted to Kamareddy Area Hospital for treatment.
A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway, police added.
