TDP leaders had a miraculous escape as boat capsized

Eluru, July 21 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party(TDP) senior leaders including former minister Devineni Umamaheshwra Rao, former minister Pitani Satyanarayana, MLA Rama Raju, MLC Mantena Satyanarayana Raju and former MLA Radha Krishna had a miraculous escape as the boat on which they were sailing to visit flood affected areas capsized at Sompalli village in Konaseema district in the river Godavari in AP.
Telugu Desam party Chief N Chandrababu Naidu was visiting the flood affected villages on Thursday. Some TDP leaders who were accompanying him were sailing on another boat. The boat, on which the former minister Devineni Umamaheshwara Rao, MLA Rama Raju, MLC Mantena Satyanarayana Raju and former MLA Radha Krishna, former minister Pitani Satyanarayana and some media persons were sailing, tilted to one side and it suddenly capsized in the river. All the TDP leaders and media persons fell into the water.
However they were immediately given life jackets and they were rescued by local fishermen. No one was hurt in the incident. Later Chandrababu Naidu proceeded to Razolu Lanka village to see the flood ravaged villages.
