Eight killed in two accidents in AP

Vijayawada, Sep 3 (UNI) In two ghastly road accidents, eight persons were killed and six others were injured in Bapatla and Sri Satya Sai districts in AP on Sunday.
Police said that five persons were killed and two others were injured when the auto rickshaw in which they were travelling collided with a lorry at Santhamaguluru village near Government junior college on the Kurnool-Guntur highway on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Chelimella Kavita (19), Alavala Mangatayaru (19), Palitinari Naidu (19), Tammishetty Tulasi (16) and Burri Madhavi (35). Three persons were killed instantaneously while two others died while undergoing treatment in the GGH at Narasaraopet. S Vijeta and Paltya Naik were injured in the accident. All the deceased and the injured belonged to Guntur city. .
