RS adjourned for day after opposition ruckus

New Delhi, Feb 11 (UNI) The Rajya Sabha on Monday continued to witness uproar by members of the opposition on various issues, forcing adjournment of the house twice, the second time for the day.

As soon as the house reassembled at 1400 hours, the members of the Trinamool Congress and TDP rose up on their seats to raise the issue of misuse of CBI and demand for special status for Andhra.

However, Deputy chairman Harivansh said that any issue for which prior notice had not been given would be allowed to be raised. He urged the members to allow the further discussion of the Motion of Thanks to the President's address .

However, the TMC and TDP members continued to press for their issues to be taken up in the hoouse.

They entered into the Well and started sloganeering against the government.

Repeated pleas by the Deputy Chairman Harivansh to agitating members to allow the house to function fell on deaf ears as they continued with their uproar.

The uproar forced the chsair to adjourn the Hosue for the day.
