New Delhi, Jun 25 (UNI) Newly-elected Trinamool members Nusrat Jahan Ruhi and Mimi Chakraborty took oath as members of Lok Sabha on Tuesday.
The two actors-turned-politicians could not take oath earlier as Ms Jahan recently got married to businessman Nikhil Jain and Ms Chakraborty was also away in Turkey to attended the ceremony.
As soon as the House met for the day, the two took oath in Bangla, ending it with phrases such as 'Vande Matram', 'Jai Hindi' and 'Jai Bangla'. Both of them went upto Speaker Om Birla and touched his feet.
Ms Nusrat Jahan won from Basirhat while Ms Chakraborty from Jadavpur in West Bengal.
