Rahul Gandhi accuses BJP of dividing people on caste basis

Nanded, Sep 8 (UNI) Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi today alleged that the BJP was dividing the people on the basis of caste but his party will not allow them to do so and will protect the nation. He addressed the divisional congregation of the Congress activists organised at new Mondha in the city by the president of the Maharashtra Congress and MP Ashok Chavan. In his 30-minute-long speech, Mr Gandhi alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not keep his words of protecting the farmers and giving employment to the youth. Mr Gandhi criticized the Devendra Fadnavis government in the state for not keeping its words farmers loan waiver. Narrating the plight of the people in post-demonetisation and application of the Goods and Service Tax (GST) in the country, the Congress vice-president said the Modi government attacked the common people and the housewives in the nation. Alleging that the government was not ready to protect the farmers, he said the reasons told by the Prime Minister behind the demonetisation was not correct and no black money could be unearthed by the government. "Now the GDP has come down at the lowest level ever in the country. Small traders have lost their business only because of the GST which has increased tax up to 28 per cent which is the highest in the world," he said. Referring to the ‘Make in India’ programme, Mr Gandhi said the market was flooded with China made products and youth was not getting employment.
