Lucknow, Aug 6 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh is all set to celebrate Independence Day with great fervour as Preparations are in full swing for the grand celebration of the special day.
Har Ghar Tiranga, and other events are being held as a part of the Independence Week starting from August 11 to August 17.
A government spokesman said on Saturday that to make the event even more memorable, Padma awardees from the state will be invited for the first time to grace the main ceremony along with other dignitaries, including the families of freedom fighters on this historic occasion.
