HP: 5 die in rain-related mishap in 24 hrs

Shimla, Sep 24 (UNI) Five people were killed and seven others injured in various rain-related mishaps in the past 24 hours, taking the death toll to 383, Himachal Pradesh government spokesperson said on Saturday.
The rainfall claimed five lives as four died in roads accidents and one died by falling from height. Two died in Chamba and one each in Mandi, Lahaul-Spiti and Shimla district.
Around 69 roads, 398 Power transmission lines and eight water schemes were disrupted by the incessant rains. Two shops and one Kachha house were damaged by the fresh rain and flashflood.
