Flood: Central Team lauds MP Govt’s timely action

Bhopal, Sep 12 (UNI) A Central Study Team – dispatched to Madhya Pradesh for assessing damage caused by excessive precipitation and consequent floods – appreciated the promptness displayed by the government and the administration vis-à-vis moving residents of affected areas to safe places and the ongoing relief work, official sources said.
The bureaucrats – led by Indian Administrative Service officer Ashutosh Agnihotri – averred that it is indeed an overwhelming fact that no loss of human life was reported though crops and dwellings were ruined besides livestock deaths. These views were expressed during a meeting with Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains at Mantralaya after the contingent toured districts including Raisen, Sehore, Hoshangabad, Harda and Dewas.
