More rain or snowfall in store in first week of new year : IMD

Shimla, Jan 1(UNI) The footfall of tourists is likely to increase in the first week of new year as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) data forecast more snowfall and rain in the state besides ample daylight.
The first day of new year was witnessed bright sunshine with tourists enjoying crystal clear sky and sunshine. Giving respite from extreme cold wave, night and day temperature also improved as it rose two to three degrees in last 24 hours.
Those planning to move to the tourist resort on this weekend have good news that Met Office forecast more snowfall in the very first week of this year.
