UP govt hikes money for free uniform to students

Lucknow, July 26 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday decided to hike the money being provided to the students of state run primary and upper primary schools for free uniforms and school bags.
A proposal in this regard was passed during the meeting of the state cabinet which was chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Giving details of the decision taken in the cabinet, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Basic Education Sandeep Singh said, "Till now Rs 1,100 per student was being given to the students of class 1 to 8. The government has decided to increase this amount to 1,200."
