UP: 7000 MBBS seats to be increased in 5 years

Lucknow, April 22 (UNI) The Yogi-led government in Uttar Pradesh in the span of the last five years has worked in a planned and phased manner towards expansion of the healthcare facilities and improvement of the medical and health infrastructure in the state.

Owing to the sustained efforts of the government, the people in the state have also benefited largely from the improved health care facilities. Taking forward its resolve of transforming the state into a hub of ‘medical education’, the Yogi government in its second tenure, has plans to increase the number of seats in the medical profession.
