Lucknow, Jan 1 (UNI) Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) governments at the Center and Uttar Pradesh of wasting public money by organising big rallies just before elections.
In a statement on Saturday, Mayawati said it is the tendency of the BJP and the Congress to organise election rallies in the name of laying foundation stones and to go on an announcement spree ahead of the elections.
"Public money and not that of these parties is wasted mercilessly in these rallies," she added.
