One held in connection with death of Army jawan in celebratory firing

Sonbhadra (UP), June 22 (UNI) One person was arrested on Wednesday in connection with the death of an Army jawan who was shot dead in celebratory firing during a marriage function in Robertsganj area in the district here in Uttar Pradesh, a senior officer said.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Amrendra Prasad Singh said that groom Manish Madheshiya has been arrested. "The groom opened fire from the pistol of the army jawan Babulal Yadav in which the latter was hit," he said.
It may be noted that earlier in the day police sources said that Babulal Yadav (35), who was posted as Havaldar in Jammu and Kashmir, had come to his native village Mahuari Tendu on leave a few days back. "On Tuesday night, he sustained bullet injury during the marriage function in Brahma Nagar. He was taken to the district hospital where doctors declared him dead after examination," they said.
