Man gets 14 years RI for rape

Kushinagar (UP), Aug 19 (UNI) A man was sentenced to 14 years rigorous imprisonment and fined Rs 20,000 by a POCSO court on charges of sexually assaulting a minor girl in Kaptanganj area of Kushinagar district in Uttar Pradesh, prosecution officers said here on Friday.
Special Prosecutors Phool Badan and Ajay Kumar Gupta said that on May 30, 2015, a case was lodged against Hari Sahani and under POCSO Act. The victim's father alleged that Sahani sexually assaulted her.
Gupta said Sahani was arrested and sent to jail. He said that a total nine witnesses testified in the court.
