Rae Bareli (UP), Nov 29 (UNI) Ten passengers were injured when a truck collided with a roadways bus in Civil Lines area of Rae Bareli district here in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, police sources said here.
Police sources said that the incident occurred around 6 am when the truck loaded with steel bars in a bid to save a motorcyclist collided with the bus. "10 bus passengers were injured in the accident and the condition of three is stated to be serious," they said.
Doctor of the district hospital Santish Singh said that 10 people were brought to the hospital and two were discharged after first aid. "Some passengers have sustained fractures and injuries in the abdomen," he said.
Police sources said that the injured include Urmila (45), Manoj Singh (46), Sunil (35), Ram Vilas (65), Brajesh (55), Rajesh Kumar (42), Hardev (50), Ram Narain (22) and Manoj (32). "The truck has been impounded and the driver has been taken into custody," they said.
