Lucknow, Sep 4(UNI) Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) has geared up to commence the Lucknow Metro from September 7 and have started trial runs from Friday.
Officials here on Friday said that the trial runs have started and the security personnel and others were being trained to cope with the situation arising due to the pandemic and to follow the SOP.

The Metro will start its normal functioning from 0600 hrs in the morning to 2200 hrs in the night in all 7 days of the week.
As per the norms, all passengers will have to wear face mask and they will have to sit leaving one seat vacant .
All the passengers will be checked by infrared thermometer at all the entry points while the stations and the trains would be sanitised regularly.
Lucknow metro functioning was suspended in March last after the country went for a lock down in view of the pandemic.
