Srinagar, Sep 9 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police on Wednesday constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate where the arms and ammunition recovered from two suspected militants at Jawahar tunnel on Tuesday night were heading for.
The Army and police in a joint operation arrested two suspected militants and recovered two automatic weapons, six Chinese pistol and other arms and ammunition which were being smuggled into Kashmir from Jammu in a truck at the Jawahar tunnel on the Srinagar-Jammu highway late last night.
Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), South Kashmir Range Atul Goel said, an SIT has been constituted to further investigate where the weapons were headed.
