Two militants killed in central Kashmir encounter

Srinagar, Oct 28 (UNI) Two militants were killed by security forces in an encounter which ensued during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) on Tuesday night in the central Kashmir district of Badgam, a police spokesman said on Wednesday.
He said troops of Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF launched a joint CASO at Mouchwa in Badgam following a tip off about the presence of militants last night.
However, an encounter ensued after security forces came under heavy fire from militants hiding there.
Two militants were killed in the encounter so far, he said adding the operation was going on when the reports last came in.

Bhopal, Nov 30 (UNI) In its continuing mission towards ensuring good governance, the Madhya Pradesh dispensation is effectively reintroducing the CM Helpline and Samadhan Online, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan averred on Monday.
“This will enable the populace to become proximous to the government. My regime shall ensure that schemes’ benefits percolate easily to the necessitous. I will undertake surprise inspections vis-à-vis implementation of programmes at grassroots level. Over the past few days, uncompromising action has been taken against mafias here, in Indore, Mandsaur, Agar, Neemuch, Jabalpur, Satna and Ujjain. Similarly, an anti-adulteration campaign has been launched. Our innocent daughters are threatened and seduced for marriage following which conversion takes place. Legislation shall be enacted against this,” the veteran leader assured in his message to the people.
