Army foils infiltration bid, one terrorist killed, two injured in KG sector of Poonch

Jammu, Aug 9 (UNI) Army on Sunday said that infiltration bid has been foiled while one terrorist was killed and two injured along the Line of Control in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Jammu based Defence Spokesman, Lt Col Devender Anand here said that on August 7, a group of terrorists were attempting to infiltrate across LoC in Krishna Ghati Sector, in Poonch district.
"The alert Indian Army troops detected the terrorists close to LoC and immediately engaged them resulting in on the spot killing of one terrorist and serious injuries to other two," said the Spokesman.
The Colonel said that subsequent search in the area showed that the dead body of terrorist had been dragged away from the incident site.
However, one AK 47 Rifle, two AK 47 Magazines and some eatables were recovered from the incident site. "Pakistan markings on the eatables and a few other items clearly indicate the complicity of Pakistan in sponsoring terror activities in J&K," he added.
Security forces are maintaining a robust Counter Infiltration grid along the Line of Control to foil any nefarious designs by Pakistan, said Col Anand.
He said that on the same day, Pakistan also violated ceasefire at many locations like Krishna Ghati, Mankote and Mendhar.
