Baramulla, Sep 18 (UNI) Security forces launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Pattan area in this north district on Friday morning, official sources said.
They said on a tip-off about the presence of militants, Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police, Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and CRPF launched a joint CASO at village Gohiwa, Pattan, in Baramulla early this morning.
All the exit points were sealed and house to house was launched, they said, adding that so far, no contact was established with the militants.
They said additional troops have been deployed in the nearby areas to prevent any law and order problem.
