Anti-Naxal operation to be intensified in next three months in Chhattisgarh: DGP

Raipur, Sep 4 (UNI) Chhattisgarh Director General of Police DM Awasthi on Friday said that after rainy season anti-naxal operation will be intensified in Chhattisgarh in the next three months.
Chairing a state level coordination committee meeting held at police headquarters here today he discussed strategy to intensify anti-naxal operation. Measures to establish better coordination among security forces and make anti- naxal operation more effective were discussed at the meeting which was attended by CRPF, BSF, ITBP and IB officers and IGs and SPs of Bastar division.
He instructed all the officials to submit the next action plan of the operation against Naxalites. Awasthi stressed the need for expediting the construction of bridges and culverts in Naxal-affected areas to intensify anti-naxal operation. It is necessary to take action against Naxalites by planning in core areas like Sukma, Dantewada and Bijapur, he said.
