Violence accused on the run in Bareilly; Rs 15,000 bounty declared on key IMC members

Bareilly, October 5 (UNI) Following violent clashes on September 26, police have announced a reward of Rs 15,000 each on seven key accused individuals linked to the Ittehad-e-Millat Council (IMC). Those named include IMC Youth Wing President Altmash Raza, Sajish Saklaini, Afzal Baig, history-sheeters Naib and Bablu Khan, along with Nadeem and Adnan. All are wanted in multiple police stations across the city.
Authorities confirmed that these individuals were actively involved in orchestrating and participating in the violence that erupted in the Kotwali, Premnagar, and Baradari areas. The unrest followed the controversial appearance of "I Love Mohammad" posters in Kanpur and was allegedly incited by IMC president Maulana Tauqeer Raza.
The accused reportedly led mobs that engaged in heavy stone-pelting and open firing on police personnel. Ten FIRs were registered across the three police station areas, implicating 126 named individuals and approximately 3,000 unidentified rioters. So far, 88 people, including Maulana Tauqeer, have been arrested.
