Varanasi witnesses 'celebratory' aura on Bhoomi Pujan day

Varanasi, Aug 5 (UNI) In view of the laying of the foundation stone for a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya, there is an atmosphere of 'celebration' in Lord Shiva's city and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's parliamentary constituency Varanasi.
The ancient religious city saw 'bhajan-kirtan' and prayers being offered while following the government guidelines and precautionary measures in view of the novel coronavirus. People are also watching live foundation laying programme through big LED screens at some places in Varanasi.
Prayers are being done at many temples on behalf of various religious and social organizations. While some people are expressing their devotion by offering flowers at the pictures of Lord Ram and the temple design while at other places, an 'Akhand kirtan' is underway.
