PRI play major role in national reconstruction: Dhumal

Hamirpur (HP), July 30 (UNI) While hailing the working of the Panchayati raj institutions in the welfare of the rural areas of India, Former HP Chief Minister and senior BJP leader, Prem Kumar Dhumal said these institutions were playing a major role in the national reconstruction also.
Dhumal said this while chairing a function of the PRI wing of the party at Touni Devi Sunday in which Tilak Raj, the state convener of the Panchayati raj wing of the party was also present.
He said the PRI institutions mainly known as Rural Parliaments were continuously helpful in building the country and the main reason for that more than half of the country's people lived in villages. People living there fully depend upon the PRI’s for all their works and the Panchayat representatives do the work of taking the schemes of the government to the homes of the people and you have to do the same work in the coming assembly elections.
