President could address UP special session of legislature on Oct 18: Sources

Lucknow, Oct 11 (UNI) President Ramnath Kovind is likely to address the day long special session of the Uttar Pradesh Legislature on October 18 to commemorate the 75th year of Independence.
Official sources here on Monday said Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had passed a resolution in the cabinet by circulation about the special session. It is also reported that Governor Anandiben Patel has also given her consent.
A notification will be issued to convene the session soon.
According to sources, President Ram Nath Kovind could address a joint session of members of the Legislative Assembly and Legislative council as a part of "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" celebrations.
