Prayagraj, Nov 26(UNI) Congress General Secretary and in charge of Uttar Pradesh Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Friday visited the residence of Phoolchand Pasi's family.

Four members of the family including Phoolchand Pasi were brutally murdered recently.

The women of the family shared their anguish with the Congress General Secretary during their interaction.

The relatives of Phoolchand Pasi disclosed that the local police were protecting the goons responsible for the murder.

The relatives told Ms Vadra that the police did not hear their side of the story or listen to their pleas and alleged that even the local administration was openly supporting the goons.

Later talking to media persons, Priyanka alleged that law and order are being flouted openly in UP and criminals therefore had no fear of the authorities.

"There is no hearing for the poor and the downtrodden under this government," she said.

Priyanka said today is Constitution Day but in UP the state government is not following it either in deed or in spirit. "Justice is the most important value of the Constitution and I am here to fight for justice," she assured the family.
