Left parties demand CM Yogi's resignation over gangrape incidents in UP

Lucknow, Oct 2(UNI) The Uttar Pradesh state unit of CPI-ML on Friday strongly condemned the arrests of Left leaders and activists protested against the increasing incidents of rape and violence against women in UP including Hatras and Balrampur gangrapes.
The Left party has demanded resignation of the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the failure to protect women, during their protest here near Gandhi statue at the main Hazratganj crossing on Gandhi Jayanti.
In a statement, CPI-ML said, the arresteed leaders including CPI-M state secretary Hiralal, CPI-ML state standing committee member Ramesh Sengar, state committee member RS Maurya, Manju (AIPWA), Madhu Garg (AIDWA), Rajiv Kumar (RYA), Chandrabhan, Madhusudan (AICCTU), Ravi Misra (CITU) among others.
