Govt should waive school fee, provide financial aid to teachers: Lallu

Lucknow, Jul 29 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Congress unit president Ajay Kumar Lallu on Wednesday shot off a letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath seeking waiver of private school fee of children and financial aid for teachers and other employees during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr Lallu said for the past four months, parents mainly those hailing from middle-class families are finding it difficult to pay their children school fees due to the adverse effect of COVID-19 pandemic on their employment.
Therefore, he said that the four month fee of students of UP Board, CBSE, ICSE and other boards run in the state, should be waived and the government should provide a financial aid of at least Rs 8,000 per month to the recognized as well as non-recognized teachers and workers working in these educational institutions.
