Deputy Speaker election of UP Assembly on Oct 18: Narendra Verma to be SP candidate

Lucknow, Oct 16 (UNI) Even as the Uttar Pradesh assembly has announced to hold the election of the deputy speaker in the fag end of its tenure on October 18, the principal opposition Samajwadi Party has announced the name of senior leader and six time MLA Narendra Singh Verma as the candidate for the coveted post.

The tenure of the current 17th UP assembly ends on May 14, 2022 and there is hardly 3 months time for the assembly polls.
