Lucknow, Nov 11 (UNI) While the Congress continued with its flop show, the Samajwadi Party failed to be called as the main opposition party as the Uttar Pradesh bypoll results established people's faith in CM Yogi's development agenda.
Out of seven seats which went to bypolls, the ruling BJP won six and SP only one. Even the margins of victory were testimony to the fact that the opposition was summarily rejected by the electorate of Uttar Pradesh. UP CM Yogi has also stated that the margins are indications of the things to come in the future.
The Congress could manage to take second place on only two of the seats namely Bangarmau and Ghatampur where the BJP won by 31,000 and 24,000 votes respectively. At other places also, Congress presence was negligible and likewise the BSP also could not perform as per its expectations and it could only reach to the second slot at the Bulandshahr seat where the BJP won comfortably by over 23,000 votes.
