BJP ink pre-poll alliance with NISHAD Party; Yogi to be BJP face for UP assy polls:Pradhan

Lucknow, Sep 24 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday announced a pre-poll pact with NISHAD Party led by Sanjay Nishad in the coming 2022 assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh.
The BJP also announced that UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath would be the party face in the 2022 assembly polls in the state.
The announcement was made by UP BJP president Swantra Deo Singh in presence of BJP UP election in-charge and union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan, NISHAD Party president Sanjay Nishad, BJP vice- president and in-charge of the organisation in UP Radha Mohan Singh and UP minister Sidharthnath Singh at the state BJP office here .
Mr Dharmendra Pradhan said the details of the alliance including the seats would be announced later on. He also said Apna Dal(Sonelal) led by union minister Anupriya Patel is already in alliance with the BJP.
" We are making a formal announcement today that NISHAD party will contest in alliance with BJP in the coming assembly polls," he added.
The Union minister categorically clarified that the party will go to the 2022 assembly polls with the face of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath.
"Yogi is our CM, we will contest under his leadership," he said while adding that people of UP have full faith in Narendra Modi and Yogi Adityanath and with this faith and yearn of social development,BJP will retain the power in UP again in 2022.

Mr Pradhan said during his three days maiden visit to UP after being appointed as the poll incharge, several meetings were held with the leaders and workers to discuss the strategy to contest the polls. " We continue to adopt the policy of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas aur Sabka Vishwas' while taking everyone with us," he said.

He said during the time of his tenure as Union petroleum minister, the Ujjawala 1.0 had given the people of this state a big relief and now 2.0 will benefit the left over persons.

Talking about the farmers' agitation, the Union minister claimed that BJP had done work for the farmers that no government had done in the past." We are trying to pacify the farmers ," he said.
The Union minister made it clear that by the Centre's policy on organic farming, doubling of income and other welfare schemes, small and marginal farmers are happy and they are supporting the BJP whole heartedly.
Further narrating about the work done for the farmers of UP, he said the policy to blend Ethanol with petrol was brought by Atal Bihari Vajpayee government in 2004 but it was not implemented by the UP government during their tenure. " the policy was enforced in 2014, when ethanol worth Rs 480 crores was purchased but by 2021 it exceeded Rs 20000 crores, which had benefitted the cane farmers of the UP mostly," Mr Pradhan said.
