Lucknow, Jul 15 (UNI) Accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of deceiving the farmers, Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday said that in the garb of coronavirus, the BJP is busy removing the problems of big entrepreneurs. They do not have any problem with the destruction of the farmers.
In a statement issued here, Mr Yadav said that the BJP is continuously deceiving the farmers. There was no purchase of the farmers' crops on the Minimum Support Price (MSP) announced by the Centre. Purchasing centers were not opened in many places and where they opened, the farmers were harassed due to one or the other reason so that they sell their produce to middlemen.
He said that farmers had to bear the brunt of unseasonal rains, hailstorms and lightning recently and they had not recovered from that damage when their problems were increased due to floods and locust attacks.
