Chandigarh, Jul 26 (UNI) Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president Sunil Jakhar on Sunday said the BJP, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is killing democracy by destabilizing the state governments of opposition parties in a bid to seize power.
In a statement here, the PPCC chief said after eroding democracy in Goa and Madhya Pradesh, BJP was now following the same dirty tricks in Rajasthan. Describing it a threat to the federal structure of the country, he warned that Congress party would not remain silent against the BJP's bullying.
"Our great freedom fighters had gifted us with democracy after a long struggle, it was unfortunate for the BJP playing with it," Mr Jakhar said and added that the BJP did not care about the Constitution nor did it care about the high democratic values of the country. BJP was turning blind in the lure of power and wants to seize it by any means.
