Jaipur, Jul 20 (UNI) Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot here on Monday claimed several Congress MLAs are staying at Manesar hotel against their will and want to return but can not as being held hostages.
"They (BJP) have taken their mobile phones. Still several MLAs are trying to reach us by making a call through a barber or waiter's phone. They are want to return and crying for help," Mr Gehlot told mediapersons here.
Contrary, the MLAs who are in Jaipur hotel and in support of ruling Congress are free to talk to anyone. "We trust them," Mr Gehlot asserted.
Training his guns at former deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot but without taking his name, Mr Gehlot said he and Bhartiya Janata Party have been trying to topple the government since six months.
"The MLAs were given the option to resign from the Congress and join the BJP. Also, it was promised that no BJP leader will come in their way during elections," Mr Gehlot alleged.
He reasserted that Mr Pilot was getting a full support from the BJP.
"Harish Salve from London is fighting his (Pilot's) case. For one date, he takes 40 to 50 lakh rupees. Mukul Rohtagi, former Attorney General of India, close to the BJP, is also standing in the courtroom for him(Pilot). His fee is again 40-50 lakh," Mr Gehlot stated and asked from where is this money coming.
"I will give you the answer. It is from corporate houses in Mumbai. He (Pilot) has been a Corporate Minister is past. And now these big companies want to impress the BJP government and providing the financial support. It's a big conspiracy," the chief minister alleged.
Mr Gehlot said what happened today (political crisis), would had happened on March 10.
