Jaipur, Jul 20 (UNI) The Rajasthan government has revoked general consent required for transferring the investigation of a case to Central Bureau of Investigation and making consent of state government mandatory on case-to-case basis.
As per the order dated July 19, which surfaced in the media on Monday, Rajasthan government has revoked the general consent under section 6 of the Delhi Special Police Establishment Act, 1946.
The act allows a special police force in Delhi (like CBI) to investigate cases and exercise power and jurisdiction in other areas (states).
