PAIC Chairman & former min slams Modi govt for its failure to safeguard interests of SCs

Phagwara, Sep 17 (UNI) Condemning the incident of killing of a Schedule Caste youth in Rajasthan, Chairman of Punjab Agro Industries Corporation and former Punjab Minister S. Joginder Singh Mann Thursday said atrocities against SCs have increased across the country during the Modi regime.
In a statement issued here Thursday , the Chairman of PAIC said Modi government has created a venomous atmosphere in the country as a result of which the brutalities against SCs have enhanced in the country. He said ever since the formation of Modi-led BJP government at the Centre the gap between SCs and the higher castes have widened which is a cause of worry. S. Mann said it has resulted in crime against SCs and the BJP government has failed to safeguard the interests of the SC brethren.
The Chairman of PAIC said due to strenuous efforts of the successive Congress governments at the Centre the SCs were able to live their life with dignity and pride.
