SAD asks Manpreet Badal to apologise to farmers for backstabbing them

Chandigarh, Sep 24(UNI) The Shiromani Akali Dal on Thursday asked finance minister Manpreet Singh Badal to apologize to farmers for backstabbing them and betraying their cause by attending meetings which finalized the hated Agricultural ordinances while telling him not to try to befool farmers by putting up proposals mooted by SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal.
In a statement issued here, the SAD Treasurer and Spokesman Mr. NK Sharma said it was condemnable that after attending a meeting of High Powered Committee constituted by Niti Aayog on behalf of the Chief Minister in Mumabi and supporting enacting of the ordinances, Mr. Manpreet Badal was now trying to pose as pro farmer.
Mr. Sharma also thanked the Congress Government for accepting suggestion of the SAD President Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal on declaring whole Punjab and ‘Principal Market Yard.’ He said that Mr Badal had suggested yesterday that the Congress government declare the entire State as a ‘Principal Market Yard’ to ensure the Agri Bills could not be implemented in the State.
