SAD says blatant lies of Sunil Jakhar won't save sinking ship of Congress

Chandigarh, Jul 19 (UNI) The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Sunday said the blatant lies of Pradesh Congress President Sunil Jakhar could not save the sinking ship of the Congress party and asked him to explain why his government has not taken action against any official since the last three and a half years for laxity in prosecuting Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Raheem for hurting religious sentiments of the Sikh community.
Addressing a virtual conference here, former minister Dr Daljit Singh Cheema said the PCC President was in such a hurry to mouth malicious lies against the SAD that he forgot to mention that it was the SAD- BJP government which sanctioned the prosecution of the Dera head in the Salabatpura case for hurting the sentiments of the Sikh community.
Dr Cheema was replying to PCC chief Jakhar charge that Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal had bonding with the Chief of Dera Sacha Sauda, due to which the then Akali government had taken a u-turn in the court to protect Dera Chief.
