Farm ordinances: Political parties questions Capt govt

Chandigarh, Jul 29 (UNI) Four political parties--Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Communist Party of India (CPI) and Communist Party of India Marxist (CPM)-- on Wednesday questioned Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh about his promise made at the all-party meeting over the agrarian reforms.
In a joint statement, the parties raise objections for not taken necessary steps against the anti-agriculture ordinances being forced on the beleaguered farmers of the state, saying the Centre had already issued notifications to enforce the ordinances.
AAP state unit president and MP Bhagwant Mann, BSP state president Jasbir Singh Gadri, CPI state secretary Bant Singh Brar and CPM state secretary Sukhminder Singh Sekhon reminded the dilly-dallying on a such a sensitive issue and leave the same unresolved midway, saying that all the major political parties in Punjab, farmers and labor organizations, agricultural and economic experts and the intelligentsia, had been protesting against the tall order.
